Fourth Grade Math Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Fourth Grade Math Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a love for mathematics. Duties

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive math lessons aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating diverse instructional methods and learning technologies.
  • Design engaging activities that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning among fourth-grade students.
  • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparation and individualized assessments.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum development initiatives, integrate literacy education, and incorporate special education strategies as needed.
  • Provide mentorship and support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with autism or requiring early intervention services.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in school-wide activities, professional development sessions, and educational administration meetings to enhance teaching practices.

Skills

  • Proven classroom management skills with the ability to maintain an organized and disciplined learning environment.
  • Strong writing skills for lesson planning, report writing, and communication with parents and staff.
  • Expertise in curriculum development tailored to early childhood education standards and Montessori or other specialized teaching methods.
  • Experience working with children of varying abilities, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
  • Knowledge of learning technology tools to enhance instruction and student engagement.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies for students with autism or other developmental challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills to foster collaboration among students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring techniques to support student achievement.
