FP&A Leader Consultant

About The Role

We are partnering with a private equity-backed healthcare organization seeking an experienced FP&A Leader Consultant to support a critical transformation initiative. This consultant will play a key role in building and optimizing the FP&A function in a carve-out environment, with a strong focus on establishing accurate reporting, improving data integrity, and delivering actionable financial insights. This is a highly visible role that will work closely with executive leadership and investors, offering the opportunity to directly impact value creation in a complex and evolving business.


Duration: 9-12 months


Location: Remote, EST hours


Compensation: $90 – $115 hourly, W-2

Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.


Scope

  • Lead the development and implementation of the FP&A function, including reporting structures, tools, and processes in a carve-out setting
  • Review and rebuild financial models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business performance
  • Assess inherited financial data, identify inconsistencies, and implement solutions to improve data reliability
  • Prepare and present executive-level reporting, including board decks, investor materials, and monthly operating reports
  • Drive budgeting and forecasting cycles, including zero-based budgeting methodologies aligned to value creation goals
  • Collaborate with leadership to evaluate financial performance and uncover opportunities for operational and financial improvement
  • Translate complex financial data into meaningful insights across consolidated and regional views
  • Support integration and alignment of financial data transitioning from a legacy organization into the new structure


Qualifications & Expertise

  • Proven FP&A leadership experience within complex or high-growth environments
  • Hands-on experience supporting carve-outs, M&A activity, or strategic finance initiatives
  • Background working in private equity-backed organizations with exposure to investor reporting requirements
  • Healthcare provider experience required, including Medicare Advantage and value-based care models
  • Strong understanding of financial drivers within a multi-site or clinic-based operating model
  • Demonstrated ability to build and refine reporting across both consolidated and regional levels
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience working through complex and imperfect datasets
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience interfacing with executive leadership
