SUMMARY: The FP&A Manager leads the company’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical functions. This role serves as a strategic partner to senior leadership, translating complex financial data into actionable insights that drive business decisions, optimize performance, and support long-term growth objectives.

Position reports to and works with the Chief Financial Officer.

Financial Planning and Budgeting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, coordinating inputs from all business units and consolidating into a company-wide financial plan.
  • Ability to coordinate and lead departmental and business unit planning sessions leading to a budget that quantifies and reflects the company’s annual business plan.
  • Build and refine dynamic financial models to support strategic planning and scenario analysis.

Analysis and Reporting

  • Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including insightful forward-looking analysis and insights.
  • Conduct variance analysis and identify key drivers affecting financial performance.
  • Profitability analysis by product category, end market, business unit and individual customers.
  • Ad hoc analysis as needed.

Business Partnering

  • Provide data driven guidance on headcount planning, capital expenditures and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct monthly budget reviews with comparisons to budget and prior year.
  • Evaluate and model the financial impact of new initiatives, pricing strategies and market expansion opportunities.
  • If necessary, integrate acquisitions into the company’s data and analytical structure.

Process Improvement and Systems

  • Automation of data gathering and financial modeling to drive continuous improvement to the process of producing insightful value-added analysis with long term scalability.
  • Expertise to leverage the latest technologies including business intelligence tools, data management tools and AI tools.

Leadership

  • Set FP&A priorities, manage workflows and ensure deliverables are accurate and timely.
  • Ability to influence others across the entire organization with value added analytics and insights to achieve company goals.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed in each Qualifications subsection.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
  • MBA preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 8 years’ related experience, preferably in a corporate business environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing a team preferred.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Advanced proficiency in data management, excel, power bi and financial modeling
  • Proven ability to leverage AI technology
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills
  • Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strategic thinking connects financial analysis to broader business strategy and long-term value creation.
  • Solid decision-making skills.
  • The ability to leverage emerging technologies, such as AI enabled technology, to increase efficiency of process.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some movement from area to area, transporting of items such as a laptop computer, small products or parts, product books or catalogs. Position also requires long periods of sitting while driving or riding as a passenger in an automobile to customer sites. Ability to effectively communicate using company-issued devices such as laptop, mobile phone, etc.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to general office environment. Must be able to move through customer sites, including warehouses, shipyards, oil field rigs, manufacturing facilities, and related machinery, etc. Work outside normal business hours is required.
