The FP&A Manager will play a key role in supporting financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and operational analytics across the organization. This role will partner closely with operations, accounting, asset management, and executive leadership to provide actionable insights that drive performance, improve margins, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable translating financial data into clear business recommendations. This person should be able to manage recurring reporting processes while also supporting ad-hoc analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and owner/investor reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support the annual budget process, including preparation of community-level and consolidated budgets.
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly forecasting, including revenue, labor, operating expenses, NOI, and cash flow projections.
  • Partner with operations teams to understand key business drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Maintain forecast models and ensure assumptions are clearly documented and supportable.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year.
  • Analyze key performance indicators such as occupancy, RevPOR, ExpPOR, labor costs, NOI, margin, and cash flow.
  • Identify trends, explain variances, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Support owner, lender, and executive reporting requirements.

Operational Support

  • Serve as a finance business partner to regional and community leadership.
  • Provide analysis to support pricing, occupancy, labor management, expense control, and margin improvement initiatives.
  • Develop tools and dashboards that help operators make faster and more informed decisions.
  • Support ad-hoc requests from operations, asset management, and executive leadership.

Process Improvement

  • Improve reporting templates, forecast models, and recurring FP&A processes.
  • Help standardize financial reporting and analytics across communities.
  • Ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and easy for stakeholders to understand.
  • Partner with accounting and systems teams to improve data quality and reporting efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, finance, accounting, or operational analytics.
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and turn findings into clear recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in senior living, healthcare, real estate, hospitality, or multi-site operations preferred.
  • Experience with systems such as Vena, Yardi, Salesforce, Power BI, or similar platforms preferred.
