The Opportunity

We are seeking a Fractional Director of Finance to provide hands-on financial oversight and practical decision support to the CEO.

This role is focused on operational financial clarity and execution, not long-term strategy. The Director of Finance will help the CEO understand what the business can afford, particularly around performance-based incentives, while improving reporting, financial visibility, and financial discipline across the organization.

This is an ideal role for a tactical finance leader who enjoys building clean models, improving financial processes, and supporting founder-led decision making.

What You'll Own

• Performance Incentive Modeling: Build clear financial models to assess the affordability and sustainability of performance incentives. This includes revenue scenarios, contribution margins, cash flow implications, and ROI thresholds.
• Financial Visibility: Develop and maintain clear monthly reporting packages including P&L analysis, cash flow summaries, marketing spend efficiency, and gross margin tracking.
• Finance Operations Assessment: Evaluate the current finance setup (bookkeeping, systems, processes) and recommend improvements to ensure reporting accuracy, operational efficiency, and scalability.
• Budget Discipline: Establish clear financial guardrails and monitor performance against budget. Identify risks related to cash runway and capital allocation.
• CEO Partnership: Act as a trusted financial partner to the CEO, translating financial data into simple, actionable insights that support confident decision-making.

Requirements

• 10+ Years of experience in experience in finance leadership roles (Controller, Head of Finance, Director of Finance, or similar).
• Strong experience in: Budget modeling, Cash flow management, Incentive compensation modeling, Marketing ROI analysis
• Experience in growth-stage companies or media/entertainment environments preferred
• Comfortable working directly with a founder/CEO

Pay: $100.00 - $120.00 per hour
