About the Role
The Franchise Business Consultant (FBC) serves as a trusted operational partner to Franchise Members within an assigned region. The FBC provides strategic coaching, performance analysis, and operational guidance to help Franchise Members run profitable, compliant, and sustainable businesses. This role collaborates cross‑functionally with internal departments to ensure Members receive the tools, resources, and support needed to achieve long‑term success.
Essential Functions
Franchise Member Operations & Support

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned Franchise Members, developing strong advisory relationships.

Conduct regular business reviews, site visits (virtual and in‑person), and follow‑up action planning.

Provide operational guidance to improve productivity, profitability, and overall business health.

Support implementation of brand standards, systems, and required programs.

Identify operational risks and performance gaps; recommend corrective actions and best practices.
Financial & Performance Consulting
-
Review and analyze KPIs, financial statements, and benchmarking data.

Coach Franchise Members on financial fundamentals including cash flow, labor management, pricing, and marketing spend.

Collaborate with Franchise Members to develop short‑ and long‑term business improvement plans.

Track progress against goals and document outcomes.
Brand Standards, Compliance & Accountability

Assess Franchise Member compliance with franchise agreements and brand standards.

Document findings and ensure proper follow‑up on deficiencies and improvement opportunities.

Partner with compliance, legal, and finance teams for appropriate escalation when needed.

Maintain accountability through a supportive, solutions‑oriented approach.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Serve as liaison between Franchise Members and internal teams (Marketing, Finance, Training, Technology, Compliance).

Support systemwide initiatives, pilots, and rollouts.

Provide insights to leadership regarding trends, challenges, and opportunities.
Training, Development & Engagement

Reinforce available training programs, tools, and resources.

Encourage participation in performance groups, programs, and brand events.

Support new Franchise Member onboarding and early-stage performance development

Travel Requirements

Travel 30–40%.

Required Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, management, finance, or equivalent experience.

5+ years in franchise operations, multi‑unit operations, business consulting, or related field.

Experience analyzing financial statements and operational data required.

Prior experience supporting franchisees or small business owners strongly preferred.
