Free Lance Landscape Designer/Landscape Architect

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and motivated Freelance Landscape Designer/Landscape Architect to join our dynamic team. Duties

• Develop comprehensive landscape design concepts using software such as AutoCAD and 3D rendering programs to visualize ideas effectively.
• Prepare detailed drawings and plans with AutoCAD to communicate project scope clearly.
• Conduct site analysis
• Create compelling presentations using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite to showcase design proposals to clients.
• Collaborate with the firm's principal owner to understand project requirements, budgets, and timelines.
• Assist in project management tasks including budgeting estimates for landscaping and hardscape elements, and coordinating construction phases.
• Review construction documents for accuracy and compliance with local codes; support construction estimating processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in landscape design or landscape architecture with a strong portfolio demonstrating creative projects.
• Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, 3D Rendering software and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop).
• Knowledge of horticulture principles, hardscape construction techniques, irrigation systems, civil engineering fundamentals, and sustainable landscaping practices.
• Familiarity with construction processes including site planning, grading, drainage solutions, and landscape maintenance strategies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently while maintaining high-quality standards; excellent project management skills are essential.
• Strong drafting skills with attention to detail; experience in construction estimating is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for client consultations and collaboration with contractors or engineers.
• A degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design or related field is preferred; relevant certifications are advantageous.
