Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and creative 2D Animator for Contract work to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating engaging character animations, motion graphics, and visual effects for a variety of digital projects. This role requires a strong foundation in Japanese Animation styles. The 2D Animator will collaborate closely with our team to deliver high-quality animated content that meets project specifications and artistic standards. Responsibilities
- Develop detailed character animations and motion graphics using tools such as Clip Studio Paint, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
- Create compelling 2D animations for videos, advertisements, and interactive media projects.
- Collaborate with the team to conceptualize animation ideas and translate them into visually appealing sequences.
- Utilize software like Cinema 4D, Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Mudbox, and Unreal Engine for integrating 3D elements into 2D workflows when necessary.
- Apply principles of color theory, anatomy knowledge, typography, and graphic design to enhance visual storytelling.
- Perform post-production editing including video editing and compositing to finalize animated content.
- Maintain organized project files using version control systems such as Perforce.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in character animation, motion graphics, and digital art creation.
- Proficiency in Clip Studio Paint, Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator), Maya, Cinema 4D, Blender, ZBrush, Mudbox, Unreal Engine, and Unity.
- Strong understanding of 2D animation principles as well as familiarity with 3D modeling and rendering tools.
- Experience with video editing software like Adobe Premiere for post-production workflows.
- Ability to demonstrate a strong portfolio showcasing character animation, motion graphics, or related digital art projects.
- Knowledge of anatomy for realistic character movement and illustration skills for storyboarding or concept art is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a creative team.
Work hours are flexible, as long as it is consistent with the deadline of the project. This job is performed remotely and does not have a office location that requires travel
