Freelance Academic Writer – Engineering Domain (All Departments)

Job Purpose:

To provide expert academic writing and research support across all engineering disciplines. The role involves developing high-quality manuscripts, research proposals, theses, and protocols that adhere to academic and publication standards. The writer is expected to collaborate with researchers and scholars, maintain subject accuracy, and ensure clarity, structure, and scholarly tone in all deliverables. The candidate will be responsible for literature synthesis, referencing, data interpretation, and compliance with ethical and journal-specific guidelines.

Required Qualification:

· Master’s or Ph.D. in any Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Computer Science, etc.)

· Strong academic publication background and technical writing expertise

· Familiarity with research methodology and scholarly communication

Tools to be Familiar:

· Referencing Tools: EndNote, Mendeley

· Document Preparation: MS Word, LaTeX

· Data Tools: Excel, SPSS, MATLAB, Python (for relevant disciplines)

· Plagiarism Checkers: Turnitin

Required Experience

· Minimum 2+ years of academic or technical writing experience

· Proven record of writing and editing academic content: journal papers, proposals, dissertations

· Experience in formatting documents for various international journals (IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, etc.)

· Knowledge of research ethics, citation styles (APA, IEEE, MLA, etc.), and peer-review expectation.

· Excellent command of academic English and scientific communication

· Ability to comprehend and write across diverse engineering topics

Job Description
