Responsibilities

• Develop original accent rug designs using industry-standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools.
• Translate conceptual ideas into detailed sketches and digital renderings that align with current interior design trends and color theory principles.
• Collaborate with product development teams to refine designs, ensuring they meet quality standards and manufacturing specifications throughout the product lifecycle.
• Incorporate knowledge of textile patterns, garment construction techniques, and sewing methods to enhance rug durability and aesthetic appeal.
• Prepare comprehensive presentation boards and technical files for client review or manufacturing partners.
• Stay informed about market trends in fashion retail, merchandising, and interior styling to create relevant, eye-catching designs.
• Support the production process by providing detailed illustration files and specifications for manufacturing.

Experience

• Proven experience in graphic design, fashion design, or textile pattern creation with a strong portfolio showcasing rug or textile projects.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator; familiarity with CAD software is essential.
• Knowledge of product lifecycle management from initial concept through production is highly desirable.
• Background in fashion styling or theater set design can provide valuable perspective on visual storytelling through textiles.
• Familiarity with sewing machines, garment construction techniques, and textile merchandising enhances the ability to create durable and appealing rugs.
• Strong understanding of color theory, illustration skills, and graphic design principles to produce compelling visual concepts.
• Ability to work independently within deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards; excellent communication skills are a plus.
