Freelance Blogger - Spine Surgery Focus

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable freelance blogger to write engaging, informative, and medically accurate articles focused on spine surgeries, conditions, complications, recovery and other relevant topics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical writing, journalism, or a related field, with a proven ability to translate complex medical information into clear, accessible, and compelling content.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation: Write well-researched, original, and high-quality blog posts (ranging from 800 to 1,500 words) on topics related to spine health, including surgical procedures (e.g., fusion, decompression, laminectomy), non-surgical treatments, with a focus on patient education.

• Accuracy and Research: Ensure all articles are medically accurate, evidence-based, and compliant with current health and medical guidelines. Must be able to independently conduct thorough research using reputable medical sources.

• SEO Optimization: Incorporate provided keywords naturally into the content to improve search engine visibility and drive traffic. Must have knowledge and experience in the creation and management of backlinks, internal links and external links.

• Editing and Revisions: Self-edit for grammar, clarity, and tone. Be receptive to feedback and complete revisions as requested by the marketing team.

• Timeliness: Meet all agreed-upon deadlines for article drafts and revisions.

Qualifications

• Proven Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional medical writing or health journalism experience, with a portfolio showcasing published articles related to medicine, surgery, or orthopedic health.

• Subject Matter Expertise: Demonstrable knowledge or a keen ability to quickly grasp complex concepts related to spinal anatomy, pathologies (e.g., herniated disc, stenosis, scoliosis), and surgical interventions.

• Writing Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills. Ability to maintain a clear, engaging, and empathetic tone suitable for a patient-focused audience.

• SEO Knowledge: Familiarity with basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) principles and best practices for blog content.

• Reliability: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently to manage multiple assignments.

Compensation
