TomeHero.com is a community-driven discovery platform for fantasy and sci-fi fans. The idea is simple: the works recommended by the people you follow and trust rise to the top of the rankings. No cold algorithm — just the taste of people who think like you. We're building it for fans, with fans.

What we're looking for

You already know what you think about the last book you read, the last series you binged, the last game you finished. You probably already share those opinions somewhere — on Reddit, Goodreads, Letterboxd, YouTube, TikTok, or just in your group chat.

We're looking for passionate fantasy and sci-fi fans who are comfortable expressing their opinions — in writing or on camera — and who want to help shape the go-to discovery platform for the genre.

Your mission

Create short, authentic reviews of fantasy or sci-fi works you've actually experienced — books, films, TV series, anime, manga, video games. In two formats:

• Written: ~50 words. No synopsis, no research. Just your honest take: what hit, what didn't, and why someone like you should (or shouldn't) check it out.
• Video: ~1 to 3 minutes. Same idea: your point of view, your tone, your personality. No professional setup needed — a smartphone and decent lighting will do. What we want is you.

Each contribution should reflect a genuine perspective on the work: what it made you feel, what stuck with you or frustrated you, and why it's worth (or not) the time of other fans in the genre.

What you get

• A monthly payment based on the number of contributions published and approved (up to 50 per month) — because your opinions have value, even if putting them into words only takes a few minutes
• A shot at the Tournament of Heroes: a recurring competition between contributors, with gift cards awarded to the winners
• A real seat at the table: as an early contributor, your feedback shapes not just the content but the features of the platform itself. We build with our community, not just for it.

This is not a side hustle to pay your rent. It's a way to be rewarded for something you already do — and to help build something you'd actually want to use.

How to apply

Send an email to the address listed on TomeHero.com — and only to that address — with the following:

• Your CV or a quick introduction
• In one sentence: what does TomeHero mean to you as a fan?
• A sample contribution on the fantasy or sci-fi work that left the biggest impression on you in the last 12 months — book, film, series, anime, manga, or game. Tell us what hit you, not what it's about. Your choice: written (~50 words) or video (~1 to 3 min)
• Links to any profiles where you already share opinions (Reddit, Goodreads, Letterboxd, YouTube, TikTok, blog...)
• Your per-contribution rate: for a 50-word written contribution and/or for a 1–3 minute video

Applications missing any of the above, or sent through any other channel, will not be reviewed.
