Freelance Digital Video Editor For Entertainment Website

CinemaBlend seeks an experienced freelance digital video editor to create short-form digital video content for our website and social media platforms. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, have up-to-date knowledge of pop culture and an interest in movies and entertainment.

Maximum Hours Per Month: 30

We're looking for someone who understands how to create excellent video, pays attention to details, and has a background in journalism or a related field.

What To Know About The Role Before You Apply:

• This is a freelance remote position.
• U.S. applicants only, please. And you must be over 18 years old to apply.
• Freelancers are paid a per-video rate.
• You will be asked tocreate videos about a variety of entertainment-related topics and may be asked to pitch and create social media image posts.
• Specific hours of availability will be flexible but we are looking for someone who can work between 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST Monday-Friday.
• We are looking for regular weekly contributions that are finished in a quick and efficient manner that's comparable to our other editors.
• You will be asked to commit to a specific number of working hours per week, and adhere to that commitment.

Some writing experience is required.

Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro is required, experience with Adobe Photoshop is a plus.

A journalism degree is not required, but we will want to see published content from an online outlet, preferably related to entertainment and pop culture.

We expect a quick turnaround on all video assignments, so we're looking for someone who's good with details, can adhere to deadlines, and can submit clean drafts.
