Freelance Floral Designer

Helen Olivia Flowers is seeking experienced floral freelancers for the upcoming season. Ideal freelance candidates will possess the following skills:

-Ability to commute to our Alexandria, VA studio and events in the immediate Washington DC metro area.

-Ability to design in a variety of modern design styles including sleek corporate work, classic rounded design, and tailored + polished garden style design.

-Experience working with a variety of mechanics.

-Ability to replicate a sample design.

-Ability to work independently off of a flower recipe.

-Speed and efficiency working in an events based studio.

-Experience working with a wide variety of flower types.

-Ability to design with a floral knife.

A minimum of 5 years of floral experience is preferred, or a portfolio showing a strong foundation in floral event event. Portfolios can be emailed to Jillian@helenolivia.com

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Seasonal

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
