Freelance Floral Designer

Overview
We are seeking a creative and passionate Floral Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in floral design, horticulture, and customer service. This role involves creating beautiful floral arrangements for various occasions while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. The Floral Designer will also assist with retail sales, merchandising, and maintaining the overall presentation of our floral products.

Duties

• Design and create floral arrangements for events, weddings, and daily sales.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their selections and offering design advice.
• Maintain knowledge of current floral trends and techniques to enhance product offerings.
• Manage inventory by stocking flowers and supplies, ensuring freshness and quality.
• Operate POS systems for processing sales transactions efficiently.
• Assist in landscape maintenance and lawn care as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a well-organized workspace and attractive merchandising displays.
• Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling protocols.

Skills

• Proficient in floral design with a strong understanding of horticulture principles.
• Experience in retail sales, including cashiering and customer service.
• Knowledge of e-commerce platforms is a plus for online sales initiatives.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
• Organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain a clean workspace.
• Ability to perform retail math for accurate pricing and sales reporting.
• Multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse clientele.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
