Summary
Biltmore is holding an open call seeking talented Freelance Graphic Designers to provide flexible creative and production support for our Marketing Communications team. This contract role is ideal for a designer with at least 3 years of experience in the field who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can quickly learn and adapt to established brand standards, and enjoys balancing both creative execution and production precision.
You’ll collaborate with internal art directors, project managers, writers, and stakeholders to develop and produce a variety of print and digital assets including advertising, signage, various collateral, promotional materials, and web graphics.
Scope of Work / Responsibilities
Collaborate with Biltmore art directors, project managers, and writers to complete assigned projects. Design, format, version, and update print and digital assets including ads, flyers, presentations, signage, menus, banners, sales sheets, and promotional materials. Translate approved creative concepts into production-ready layouts across multiple sizes, formats, and channels. Prepare files for print, packaging, signage, web, and digital channels. Perform preflight checks, proofing, and vendor-ready file preparation. Ensure all work aligns with Biltmore brand standards for typography, imagery, and color. Retouch, crop, resize, color-correct, and optimize images for print, web, email, and mobile use. Edit and prepare vector artwork including logos, charts, icons, and infographics. Quick-turn signage, menu, and other collateral requests. Troubleshoot production or technical issues and coordinate solutions with internal teams. Follow Biltmore workflow presets to organize project files and maintain efficient asset management practices
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of professional graphic design, production design, or agency/in-house freelance experience. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat Pro. Strong understanding of print production, file setup, prepress, and digital asset preparation. Experience adapting creative across multiple channels and formats. Strong and demonstrable typography, layout, and visual hierarchy skills. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision. Familiarity with project management and file-sharing tools such as Teamwork, Box, WebEx, or similar platforms. Professionalism, discretion, and reliability in representing the Biltmore brand.
