We’re looking for editors who are curious and genuinely into the things people use every day—whether that’s a new power tool, the latest phone, or a deep dive on a great car.

Our coverage blends the approachable, consumer-first feel of BGR, the passion and storytelling of Jalopnik, and the hands-on, how-it-works style of SlashGear.

You’ll cover a mix of:

• Tools & DIY – especially power tools, with a strong focus on real-world value and retailers like Harbor Freight
• Tech – mainstream devices, streaming platforms, and enthusiast gear like gaming hardware and PC components
• Cars & Transportation – news, maintenance guides, ownership advice, and enthusiast vehicles
• Gaming, gadgets, and beyond – plus accessible science, military, and aviation topics

At its core, this role is about helping readers understand what to buy, how things work, and why they matter.

What you’ll do as an Editor:

• Edit and publish articles with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and SEO best practices
• Provide constructive, actionable feedback to writers
• Coordinate coverage with the content strategy team
• Uphold editorial standards, style guides, and publishing guidelines

What We Offer:

• Pay rate: $23-$25/hour based on experience
• Completed paid trial assignment: $50

What You’ll Need:

• 3+ years of editorial experience in digital or print with a focus on consumer tech (writing/editing)
• Experience building and managing content in a CMS
• Familiarity with AP Style
• Comfortable managing a team of writers
