Please note: You must live in Denville, Boonton, Mountain Lakes, or Boonton Township, NJ, to qualify for this opportunity. Wainscot Media, a leading publisher of local, regional, and custom magazines, is looking for a part-time freelance Local Editor to source, write, and edit content about residents, businesses, and life in Morris County’s most dynamic communities.

If you’re a local writing professional who has experience writing feature-length stories, engaging with local residents and business owners, building connections, telling inspiring stories, and sharing tips for better living, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Requirements include excellent written communication skills, 2 years minimum experience in writing and editing feature stories, detail orientation, love of clean copy, respect for deadlines, excellent organizational skills, and a sense of fun! You'll receive training and support from an award-winning creative team. Candidates must be familiar with the Denville/Boonton/Mountain Lakes/Boonton Township area, including knowledge of residents, schools, businesses, events, and general life in both communities.
