Freelance Odoo Consultant (Project-Based)

Job Summary

We are seeking skilled Odoo Consultants to join our team on a freelance, project-based basis. As a Freelance Odoo Consultant, you will be assigned projects to handle the full implementation and setup of Odoo ERP systems for various clients. Your role will focus on delivering high-quality solutions while collaborating with the project supervisor to ensure smooth execution and client satisfaction. This is a remote opportunity with compensation provided per project, based on scope and complexity. Key Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end Odoo ERP system implementations, including module configuration, customization, data migration, and integration with third-party tools.
• Conduct requirements gathering, system analysis, and solution design tailored to client needs across industries such as manufacturing, e-commerce, retail, and services.
• Perform Odoo setup, including database configuration, user access management, workflow automation, and report generation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during implementation, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Provide training and handover documentation to clients post-implementation.
• Collaborate with the project supervisor for regular updates, milestone reviews, and adjustments to meet project timelines and budgets.
• Ensure all work adheres to Odoo best practices and complies with data security standards.

This is a project-based role, with assignments allocated as new projects arise. Projects may vary in scope and duration (typically 2-6 months), offering flexibility in scheduling as long as deadlines are met.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Odoo Consultant or similar role, with at least 3+ years in Odoo implementation and customization.
• Strong knowledge of Odoo modules, including Accounting, Inventory, Sales, CRM, Manufacturing, HR, and eCommerce.
• Hands-on experience with Odoo development tools, such as Python, XML, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL for custom module development and modifications.
• Familiarity with Odoo deployment options (cloud, on-premise, or Odoo.sh) and integration with APIs, payment gateways, and external systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex implementations.
• Strong communication skills for client interactions, documentation, and reporting progress to the supervisor.
• Must hold at least one official Odoo certification (e.g., Odoo Functional Consultant Certification, Odoo Developer Certification, or version-specific certifications like Odoo 16/17), awarded to individuals who have successfully passed Odoo’s rigorous exams, validating expertise in the platform.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multiple Odoo versions (e.g., Odoo 14, 15, 16, or later) and upgrading legacy systems.
• Background in project management tools or agile methodologies to streamline implementations.
• Portfolio of past Odoo projects, including case studies or references from successful implementations.
• Additional certifications in related technologies (e.g., Python, ERP systems like SAP or Microsoft Dynamics) are a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: RO200.000 - RO400.000 per month

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
