Freelance Photo Journalist

Suburban Community Channels (SCC) is looking for a dynamic storyteller to shoot and edit assigned stories on a freelance basis. Many of the shoots will be community events in the Northeast Metro. This candidate must shoot steady, sequenced video with good clean audio. Also the ability to shoot wide, medium and tight shots with a variety of subjects for the purpose of telling a story through visuals and uses natural sound and good lighting. We are looking for someone who takes initial direction from the Production Manager, but will operate autonomously in the field.

This candidate must have their own equipment and software, and must know how to operate DSLR, and/or broadcast cameras, and have experience with non-linear editing. The hours will vary with some days, nights and weekends. Some knowledge of graphics is preferred. Experience in broadcast news is preferred.

The applicant for the Photojournalist must submit an example of their work.
