Freelance Video and AI Editor

Ghost Atomic is a boutique production company and creative agency, based in Los Angeles, CA, specializing in branded content and music videos. We are looking for a talented and hard-working freelance Video Editor. In this role, you will create impactful and polished videos for corporate clients, working in a fast-paced and highly collaborative post-production environment. Candidates must have solid editing experience and command of Adobe Creative Cloud applications. Candidates must also have expertise with current generation AI tools for video and audio creation and enhancement. Key Responsibilities:

• Set up video projects following procedures established by Head of Post-Production.
• Assist in creation of transcripts from raw assets.
• Assemble raw assets into videos to be reviewed internally by producers and senior staff, and externally by clients for feedback; edit cycles typically include paper cut, radio edit and three-to-four rounds of video edits and reviews.
• Use AI tools, including Freepik, Beeble SwitchX and NanoBanana 2 to create, manipulate, expand and/or enhance video sequences.
• Select additional b-roll from stock footage or other sources as needed to supplement original footage for edit projects.
• Select and edit in music to accompany video, dialogue and/or narration.
• Apply LUTs or other color correction as directed by Head of Post-Production or Director of Photography.
• Create basic on-screen graphics, such as lower thirds; or collaborate with motion graphics artists to create additional graphics and edit them into the video.
• Upload exports for review on platforms such as frame.io, as directed by Producer or Head of Post Production.
• Create additional versions, including alternate cuts, shorter edits, social cuts, etc., as directed by project Producer.
• Create final exports per delivery specifications, including caption files, audio descriptions, burned-in captions, etc.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience editing videos for corporate or business clients
• Expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere
• Expertise with AI tools including Freepik, Beeble SwitchX and NanoBanana 2
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint
• Home system capable of running current version of Premiere and related software applications; fast home internet connection is critical
• Must be comfortable working nights and weekends to stay on schedule with fast-moving projects.

Pay: $25.00 - $75.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Adobe Premiere: 2 years (Preferred)
