Job Summary: Walsh|Sheppard is seeking a freelance video editor to support our creative team on an ongoing basis. This role is best suited for a technically strong editor who can take footage, rough cuts, and creative direction and turn them into polished, client-ready video content.
This is not primarily a directing or concept role. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working from established direction, assembling and refining edits, incorporating feedback, and delivering clean, professional final outputs efficiently. The right candidate will be comfortable handling detailed revision requests, meeting turnaround expectations, and maintaining strong technical standards across multiple projects.
Our video work varies widely, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable editing across a range of formats, styles, and client needs. Though this job is fully remote, preference will be given to Alaska-based applicants. Freelancers are welcome to work out of our Anchorage office (111 W 9th Avenue) and may occasionally be asked to collaborate with our creative team during normal business hours (9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday). We expect this role to require approximately 10-20 hours of work per week. Freelancers will be given an advanced opportunity to apply for full-time positions as they open. Students are encouraged to apply!
