Freelance Volunteer Manager

Worlds Iconic is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Volunteer Manager to lead volunteer operations for two of Dubai’s most exciting endurance events — Ultra Trail Dubai and the Burj2Burj Half Marathon. This role will oversee volunteer recruitment, training, coordination, and on-site management, ensuring every volunteer contributes to an exceptional athlete and spectator experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and manage 200–400 volunteers across both events.
• Coordinate with community groups, universities, and volunteer platforms such as Volunteers.ae.
• Assign and brief volunteers for roles in logistics, athlete services, hydration stations, start/finish operations, branding, F&B, and VIP support.
• Oversee on-site volunteer check-in, accreditation, uniforms, and meal distribution.
• Work with operations, medical, and security teams to ensure volunteer efficiency and safety.
• Lead volunteer captains and provide daily oversight during event build, race day, and breakdown.
• Manage post-event recognition, feedback, and retention initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years’ experience in event or volunteer management (sports or endurance events preferred).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Confident leading large teams under pressure.
• Passionate about community engagement and sports.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace; experience with Volunteers.ae or event platforms a plus.
