Freelance/Contract Luxury Scarf Print Designer

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Freelance/Contract Luxury Scarf Print Designer to join our creative team. This role involves developing unique, high-end scarf patterns and designs that align with our brand’s aesthetic and market positioning. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in digital art, illustration, and graphic design, with the ability to translate conceptual ideas into visually stunning print designs. This is a flexible, project-based opportunity perfect for experienced designers passionate about luxury fashion and textile design- projects will vary but may turn into more consistent contract work if desired.

Projects will vary depending upon if scarves are being designed for our core retail collection, or custom/corporate gifting accounts.

Duties

• Conceptualize and create exclusive scarf print patterns that reflect luxury branding standards
• Develop detailed illustrations and digital artwork using industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite, CorelDRAW, and Sketch
• Extensive research around the collection theme- may be a specific place/culture/etc. ex. Navajo inspired designs or equestrian inspired designs.
• Prepare print-ready files adhering to color management and production specifications
• Experiment with color theory, typography, and layout design to enhance visual appeal, but with minimal focus on branding and logos- designs should evoke feel of a place or brand rather than literal logos.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards
• Stay updated on current trends in fashion, textile design, and digital art to inspire innovative patterns

Requirements

• Proven experience in graphic design, illustration, or textile pattern creation for luxury brands or fashion labels. Portfolio of previous work required. Want a mix of hand drawn/sketch/abstract styles- need to show you have a range of style to meet the needs of the inspiration for each project provided.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Ability to work independently as a freelancer or contractor with excellent time management skills
• A portfolio showcasing high-end visual design work across digital platforms and print media

This freelance position offers the opportunity to contribute creatively to a luxury fashion brand while working remotely on flexible schedules. The ideal candidate is passionate about innovative design and has a keen eye for detail in both digital art and print production.

Pay: $35.00 - $75.00 per hour
