Job Summary

As a Freight Broker, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end freight brokering process — from sourcing carriers and negotiating rates to coordinating shipments and building long-term client relationships. This is a remote role for candidates based in India with a focus on the US logistics market.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, qualify, and onboard carriers ensuring compliance with DOT/FMCSA requirements
• Negotiate freight rates with carriers and pricing with customers
• Manage customer accounts and provide timely communication on shipment status
• Coordinate logistics operations including freight scheduling and routing
• Track freight movement and resolve shipment exceptions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, carriers, and internal teams
• Generate new business leads and convert them into long-term clients
• Maintain accurate data in the TMS (Transport Management System) and CRM
• Provide excellent customer service and exceed performance KPIs

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 2 years of US freight brokerage experience (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of US logistics, carrier market, and freight pricing
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Comfortable with cold calling, lead generation, and sales follow-up
• Good internet connectivity and remote working setup

Preferred

• Experience with TMS systems
• Understanding of FMCSA regulations & carrier insurance requirements
• Track record of meeting/exceeding sales and revenue targets
