Freight Broker Assistant

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Performing daily "check calls" to carriers & drivers to provide status updates to customers
• Help locate carriers to move shipments
• Preparing Rate Confirmation Sheets
• Posting loads on load boards and using Walker TMS System
• Managing phone and email traffic with customers and carriers

Required Skills:

• Candidate must have strong verbal and written skills, along with extensive computer knowledge.
• Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Must have professional telephone manners, along with excellent customer service skills
• Must have at least 1 year prior experience in either transportation, dispatching, logistics or freight brokering

Pay: From $33,280.00 per year
