Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Freight Broker Dispatch and Sales professional to join our fast-paced logistics team. In this role, you will be the vital link between shippers, carriers, and customers, driving revenue growth through proactive sales efforts and efficient dispatching. Your expertise in transportation management, supply chain coordination, and customer relationship management will ensure seamless freight operations while expanding our client base. Duties
- Develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business opportunities within the freight and logistics sector, focusing on building long-term relationships with clients.
- Manage inbound lead generation through CRM software, cold calling, networking, and industry outreach to identify potential customers.
- Coordinate dispatching activities by assigning freight loads to qualified carriers using transportation management systems (TMS) and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) platforms.
- Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms with shippers and carriers to optimize pricing structures while maintaining profitability.
- Oversee transportation planning by scheduling pickups and deliveries efficiently, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and other safety standards.
- Maintain accurate data entry of shipment details, carrier information, and dispatch records within AS400 or similar systems for seamless operations.
- Foster strong customer relationships through regular communication, account management, and providing tailored logistics solutions that meet client needs.
- Monitor freight movement progress, troubleshoot issues proactively, and coordinate with carriers to resolve delays or disruptions swiftly.
- Support logistics sales initiatives by identifying new markets, developing proposals, and participating in negotiations for 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) services or NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) arrangements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain management, transportation management, or logistics sales with a focus on freight dispatching or brokerage services.
- Strong understanding of transportation planning, carrier relations, and logistics sales strategies.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI platforms, and AS400 for data entry and dispatching tasks.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to develop mutually beneficial contracts while maintaining profitability.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations related to freight handling and transportation compliance standards.
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads through inside sales techniques such as cold calling or digital outreach.
- Exceptional communication skills for building rapport with clients and carriers alike; adept at account management and customer relationship management (CRM).

Pay: $38,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
