Freight Broker / Dispatcher

We are seeking an experienced logistics broker/dispatcher to join/lead our team and deliver outstanding service to both our customers and our carriers. This is an in person role with a 4 day a week work schedule located in Holland, MI. If you have prior freight brokerage experience, dispatch experience; you've negotiated lanes, managed carriers, and know how to make loads move more efficiently, we would love to talk to you.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assign and dispatch drivers for frozen and deep frozen LTL shipments, considering factors such as delivery schedules, driver availability, and equipment requirements.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with carrier partners, customers, and internal teams regarding shipment status, delays, and any other relevant information.
• Negotiate rates, lanes, and logistics details with carriers, suppliers, and customers
• Accurately maintain dispatch records, including shipment details and delivery confirmations.
• Supervise, mentor, and assign tasks to the logistics team.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety standards and transportation laws.
• Analyze processes and continuously drive improvements.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in dispatching and or freight brokerage, preferably in the LTL transportation industry with proven results.
• Thorough understanding of DOT regulations, routing principles, and dispatch software.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong Negotiation skills.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
• 2 or more year of freight broker experience

This position is a 4-day work schedule first shift. Salary is based on level of experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
