Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Freight Broker Sales Agent to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be the driving force behind developing new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with clients and carriers. Your expertise in transportation management, supply chain solutions, and sales will help us deliver exceptional freight services across diverse markets. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow within a fast-paced environment, leveraging your skills in B2B sales, logistics, and account management to expand our reach and optimize transportation solutions for our customers.

Duties

  • Identify and generate new leads through proactive outreach, networking, and market research to expand the customer base
  • Develop tailored freight solutions by understanding client needs and coordinating with carriers, 3PL providers, and NVOCCs (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers)
  • Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms with shippers and carriers to ensure profitable agreements while maintaining high customer satisfaction
  • Manage existing accounts by providing excellent customer service, resolving issues promptly, and upselling additional services such as transportation planning or logistics solutions
  • Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), and AS400 platforms for data entry, dispatching, tracking shipments, and maintaining accurate records
  • Coordinate transportation schedules, dispatch carriers efficiently, and ensure compliance with FDA regulations when applicable
  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities for growth in logistics sales sectors such as freight forwarding or supply chain management

Experience

  • Proven experience in B2B sales within the transportation or logistics industry is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management, transportation management systems (TMS), and logistics operations
  • Demonstrated success in inside sales, account management, or freight brokerage roles with a focus on negotiation and contract development
  • Familiarity with 3PL providers, NVOCC operations, carrier sales, and transportation planning processes
  • Experience using CRM software for lead generation, customer relationship management, and sales pipeline tracking
  • Knowledge of freight pricing strategies, EDI systems like AS400 or similar platforms for data exchange
  • Ability to handle data entry accurately while managing multiple accounts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $48,889.78 - $58,878.02 per year
