Company Overview:

We are supporting a leading freight forwarding company based in the United Kingdom, providing end-to-end logistics solutions for international trade. With a strong focus on reliability and customer service, we specialize in managing imports and exports, particularly between Pakistan and the UK and are now actively seeking a suitable candidate who can provide sales support services and lead generation in Pakistan. As part of our expansion, we are looking for a highly experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to drive growth and strengthen our client base.

Position Overview:

As a Business Development Manager, your primary responsibility will be to generate new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and grow our presence in the UK-Pakistan trade lane. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in freight forwarding, excellent industry knowledge, and a strong network within the logistics and international trade sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities in freight forwarding (air and ocean freight)
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with importers/exporters, agents, and shipping partners
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of clients trading between Pakistan and the UK
  • Prepare and deliver customized logistics solutions to meet client needs
  • Negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements with customers and carriers
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
  • Work closely with internal operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales and revenue targets
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and regular reporting to senior management

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in freight forwarding or logistics business development
  • In-depth knowledge of UK import/export procedures, documentation, and compliance
  • Strong network of contacts within the Pakistan-UK trade lane
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong commercial awareness and goal-oriented mindset
  • Proficient in MS Office, CRM tools, and digital communication platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred)
