The Freight Forwarding Operations Executive (Sea, Air & Land) oversees and manages end-to-end logistics operations across all transport modes. This role involves coordinating shipments, preparing documents, communicating with carriers and customers, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering reliable service for import, export, and cross-trade operations.
Key Responsibilities1. Multimodal Operations Management
- Coordinate import, export, and cross-trade shipments by sea, air, and land.
- Arrange bookings with airlines, shipping lines, transporters, and overseas agents.
- Plan and schedule trucking, container movements, airport operations, and warehouse handling.
- Track shipments and ensure timely pickup, transit, and delivery.
2. Documentation
- Prepare and verify documentation including HBL/HAWB, MBL/MAWB, invoices, packing lists, COO, manifest, delivery orders, and trucking instructions.
- Ensure compliance with country-specific requirements for sea, air, and road transport.
- Maintain accurate shipment records in operating systems.
3. Customer & Vendor Coordination
- Serve as primary operational contact for clients.
- Communicate with carriers, agents, hauliers, customs brokers, and warehouse teams.
- Provide shipment updates, resolve queries, and ensure customer satisfaction.
4. Customs & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure all shipments comply with customs regulations and required certifications.
- Strong understanding of INCOTERMS, HS codes, export controls, and transport regulations.
- Coordinate customs clearance processes for sea, air, and land cargo.
5. Billing & Cost Control
- Prepare quotations and cost sheets for multimodal shipments.
- Verify vendor invoices (airlines, shipping lines, hauliers, warehouse).
- Ensure accurate customer billing and maintain cost efficiency.
