Freight Operations Manager

Overview
THE MAX FREIGHT LLC. is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Freight Operations Manager to oversee daily logistics and transportation activities. In this role, you will coordinate freight operations, manage carrier communication, optimize shipment processes, and support efficient on-time delivery performance. This position is ideal for someone with strong leadership, logistics coordination, and problem-solving skills who thrives in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily freight and dispatch operations to ensure efficient transportation services
• Coordinate with drivers, brokers, carriers, and customers regarding shipment schedules and updates
• Monitor load progress and proactively resolve operational issues or delays
• Optimize routing, scheduling, and freight planning to improve operational efficiency
• Maintain accurate records of loads, rates, invoices, and shipping documentation
• Support billing, reporting, and operational analysis
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies
• Assist in developing and improving logistics procedures and workflows

Requirements

• Previous experience in logistics, transportation, dispatching, or freight operations preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and manage operations in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving mindset with excellent attention to detail
• Familiarity with load boards, TMS platforms, and freight coordination systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, email communication, and logistics software

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with trucking companies, freight brokers, or 3PL operations
• Knowledge of freight rates, routing strategies, and transportation planning
• Familiarity with ELD systems and DOT compliance requirements
• Experience managing carrier and customer relationships
• Bilingual (English/Spanish or Russian) is a plus
