About the Role
We are a U.S.-based trucking brokerage looking to hire a Freight Sales Associate in India to support our sales and customer acquisition efforts in the U.S. logistics market.
This role focuses on cold calling, lead generation, relationship building, and freight lane sales with U.S. shippers and businesses that require transportation services.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and cold call U.S.-based shippers to generate new freight opportunities
- Build and maintain a pipeline of active customers
- Qualify leads and understand shipper requirements (lanes, volume, equipment)
- Provide rate quotes in coordination with operations or brokerage team
- Negotiate pricing with shippers to secure profitable freight
- Maintain accurate records of calls, leads, and opportunities in CRM
- Follow up with existing customers to increase repeat business
- Coordinate with dispatch/operations to ensure smooth load execution
- Meet or exceed daily call, booking, and revenue targets
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in freight sales, logistics sales, or B2B telesales
- Strong spoken English with a neutral or clear accent
- Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls
- Understanding of U.S. trucking terminology (FTL, LTL, Reefer, Dry Van, Flatbed, lanes, RPM)
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
- Ability to work in U.S. time zones
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and resilient to rejection
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Prior experience working with a U.S. trucking brokerage
- Familiarity with load boards (DAT, Truckstop)
- CRM experience (HubSpot, Zoho, Salesforce, etc.)
- Knowledge of freight pricing and margins
