French Speaking Childcare Assistant

Experienced French-Speaking Early Childhood Assistant Full French Immersion Preschool (Ages 1–4) | Long-Term Position

Alouette Childcare & Preschool is seeking an experienced or highly capable French-speaking early childhood assistant to join our established full French immersion program for children ages 1–4.

We are a small, stable, and highly collaborative team with long-term staff (4–5+ years). Our environment is calm, respectful, and focused on providing high-quality care and language immersion for young children.

We are looking for someone who is not just seeking a job, but a long-term role in a professional, consistent early childhood environment.

About the Role

This position is ideal for someone who is confident working with toddlers and preschool-aged children and who can naturally communicate in French throughout the day.

You will be part of a close-knit team supporting children’s daily routines, emotional development, and early learning in a fully French-speaking environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with children exclusively in French throughout the day
• Support daily routines (arrival, play, meals, hygiene, nap, outdoor activities)
• Help create a safe, calm, and nurturing environment
• Assist with age-appropriate learning activities and structured play
• Work closely and respectfully with a small, experienced team
• Maintain consistency, patience, and positive guidance with children

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

• Fluent in French (required)
• Experienced with children ages 1–4 (professional, babysitting, nanny, daycare, or equivalent)
• Calm, patient, and emotionally grounded with young children
• Reliable, consistent, and committed to long-term work
• A strong team player with a respectful communication style
• Comfortable physically active work (lifting, carrying, floor play, outdoor supervision)

ECE units are NOT required
