About the Role

The French Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality French language instruction aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE framework. The role requires strong subject expertise, innovative teaching practices, and the ability to prepare students for international assessments.

The ideal candidate will foster linguistic proficiency while promoting cultural appreciation of Francophone countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging French lessons in accordance with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum
• Teach all four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing
• Prepare students for IGCSE examinations using Cambridge standards and assessment criteria
• Design lesson plans, worksheets, projects, and digital learning resources
• Conduct formative and summative assessments; provide constructive feedback
• Maintain student records, progress reports, and academic documentation
• Create an inclusive and motivating classroom environment
• Integrate technology and multimedia tools into language teaching
• Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development programs
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress

Required Qualifications & Skills

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in French / Foreign Languages / Education or related field
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred
• Certification or experience with Cambridge IGCSE curriculum preferred

Professional Skills

• Fluency in French (spoken and written)
• Strong understanding of Cambridge IGCSE assessment objectives
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in educational technology tools
