Job Overview

D Y Patil International School, Worli, is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified French Teacher to teach Grades 3 to 7 across the school. The teacher will deliver engaging foreign language instruction aligned with international curricula (Cambridge / IB), focusing on building strong foundational language skills and cultural awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective French lessons for Grades 3 to 7.
• Develop students listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in French.
• Introduce age-appropriate French vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and sentence structures.
• Use interactive teaching strategies such as games, role-play, songs, stories, and digital tools.
• Design and administer assessments to monitor student progress.
• Maintain accurate academic records and student reports.
• Encourage appreciation of French culture, traditions, and global perspectives.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with grade-level teachers and curriculum coordinators.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.
• Participate in school meetings, events, and professional development programs.
• Adhere to school policies, safeguarding, and child protection guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in French / Foreign Languages / Education
• Teaching qualification such as B.Ed., PGCE, or equivalent preferred.
• International curriculum training (Cambridge / IB) is an advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum 2–4 years of teaching experience, preferably teaching Grades 3–7.
• Experience in an international or bilingual school preferred.
