Friday Nanny/Household Assistant in Temecula (+ Additional Hours Available)

We are looking for a reliable, kind and energetic nanny/household assistant to join our family on Fridays on a long-term basis. We have two children, ages 5 and 7. Both parents work from home, and our children are homeschooled.

Schedule:
Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Flexible start date.
Additional hours may be available depending on your availability and interest, including occasional opportunities to fill in on other weekdays or help at other times as needed.

Location: Temecula (near Serena Hills Park if you want to map it for distance)

Responsibilities and Details

The primary responsibility is caring for and engaging with our kids. This includes playing with them, supervising activities and providing a patient, positive presence. We have a part-time homeschool teacher who is responsible for a majority of their homeschooling. You may be helping with 'homework' and light school-related activities at times.

One of our kids has mild special needs and sometimes needs extra support, so experience and/or comfort with special needs is important.

During the school year, I (Mom) frequently take the kids to a weekly homeschool group on Friday mornings. When the children are there or otherwise occupied, responsibilities will also include helping with a variety of household tasks, such as:

• Dishes and kitchen clean-up
• Toy pick-up and organization
• General household organization
• Cooking and food preparation
• Other household tasks as needed (e.g., errands, helping with other household needs that come up, etc.)

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, consistent and dependable

• Physically able to help with a wide variety of household needs, such as the ones listed above (i.e. tasks that require lots of bending over, reaching, some reasonable lifting, etc.)
• Kind, patient and nurturing
• Comfortable with special needs
• Playful, interactive and genuinely enjoys spending time with kids
• Comfortable helping with household tasks during times the children don't need direct attention
• Interested in and available for a long-term position
• Comfortable reinforcing our family's Christian values in conversations with the kids and sometimes helping facilitate faith-based activities

Our Family

As mentioned above, both parents (Mom and Dad) work from home in home offices. We are close with our kids and love spending time with them. Because of the nature of our work, we're both very busy and need help with our kids and household during work hours.

We currently have a wonderful nanny who is full-time, but she would like to reduce her hours to four days/week (Mon-Thurs.) in order to take care of other obligations. So, we're looking for help on Fridays to accommodate her request.

Compensation

$23-28/hr., depending on experience and qualifications. Status: W-2 part-time employee, paid through payroll.
