Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced Front Counter Sales Associate to join our team. The Front Counter Sales Associate is responsible for ensuring all customers are greeted and have hands-on assistance with purchases and returns. The Front Counter Sales Associate is normally the first person seen when entering the store and is tasked with ensuring customers have a favorable experience during their visit to an XL Parts/The Parts House location. This role primarily focuses on the duties of Front Counter Sales Associate but may also require operating a motor vehicle to deliver and/or pick up at local customer sites as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide a high level of customer service with product expertise and selling skills.
  • Assist walk-in customers with finding and purchasing parts
  • Answers customer questions
  • Cashiering/Cash Handling
  • Stock and pull parts
  • Answer phones
  • Keeps store and front counter clean
  • Maintain the appearance of the store (inside and out)
  • Exhibit strong customer service and communication skills
  • Assist Store Manager when needed with inventory, ordering parts and carrying out
open/close procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High School Degree or GED
  • 1 to 2 years of warehouse experience or similar discipline
  • Front counter retail experience is preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation
Front Counter Sales Associates with driving responsibilities must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Driving
responsibilities are not required for all Front Counter Sales Associates at the time of hire but may be added to job responsibilities during employment based on business needs.

Environmental/Occupational Health and Physical Requirements:
A typical 9-hour day includes reaching, standing, walking, kneeling, lifting and carrying. To perform the duties of this job the employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
