Position Overview: We are seeking an organized, professional, and friendly Front Desk Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing daily administrative tasks, facilitating patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring efficient office operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome patients and visitors, providing outstanding customer service.
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using our practice management software.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits; manage patient intake paperwork and documentation.
  • Answer incoming calls, responding to patient inquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Process payments, manage billing information, and provide receipts as required.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere strictly to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Coordinate communications between patients, providers, and external healthcare professionals.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and waiting room.
  • Support administrative tasks including filing, scanning, faxing, and maintaining electronic health records.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in medical reception, ideally in dermatology or other specialty medical office.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software preferred (experience with AdvancedMD a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer software.
  • Ability to multitask and handle fast-paced office environments calmly and professionally.
