Front Desk Associate (Part-Time)

The Front Desk Associate greets and assists residents, visitors, vendors, and staff members in the continuing effort to deliver outstanding resident service. The Front Desk Associate may be required to provide coverage for both Aviva buildings (Anchin Pavilion and Kobernick House).

The schedule for this position is 4pm-midnight, Friday/Saturday/Sunday.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Meet and greet residents; check guests and service providers in/out.
  • Monitor and operate electronic security control systems to ensure a safe and secure environment across the campus.
  • Accurately maintain daily logs, records and forms.
  • Monitor Emergency Response System.
  • Respond to emergency situations in a calm, timely, and efficient manner.
  • Monitor and control access to the building.
  • Resolve and follow-up on all complaints/issues.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.

Every incidental duty connected with the Front Desk Associate position cannot be specified in the job description. The Front Desk Associate, at the discretion of his/her supervisor(s) may be required to perform duties that are not included in this job description.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is required to work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time; handle, finger, grasp and lift objects and packages; reach with hands and arms; and quickly and easily navigate the property as required to meet the job functions. Manual dexterity and visual acuity necessary to type using a computer keyboard, visually read information from a computer monitor and paper documents. Requires ability to orally communicate information over the telephone in person and hear responses. Requires ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Educational/Professional Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/equivalent required.
  • College-level courses in business or hospitality preferred.
  • Two to three years of business experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Able to work independently and without direct supervision.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Multilingual candidates preferred.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal skills, and time management skills.
  • Detailed-oriented and able to multitask.
  • Able to understand and react to emergency response and access control procedures in a timely manner.
  • Command of information system hardware/software preferred.
  • Able to work extended hours and weekends based on project requirement.
