Front Desk Attendant / Child Care Attendant

Odyssey Fitness is seeking a Front Desk Attendant with a friendly, outgoing personality that is dedicated to providing exceptional service to all customers; members, guests and staff, whether by phone or in person and upholding the club's operating standards in a professional manner at all times. You must have a passion for fitness and health with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Odyssey Fitness Center is seeking multiple hires for Front Desk Attendant. We have flexible shifts available.

Required Skills

• Ability to effectively communicate verbally & nonverbally via phone or in person
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple customer issues at one time
• Handle inquires concerns issues. ( Check people in, collect fees, use credit card machine and cash register)
• Ability to handle confrontational customers.

Candidates must have:

• H.S. diploma, GED minimum. Current H.S. students in good standing meeting work permit requirements accepted.
• CPR & First Aid Training helpful, but not required.
• Cash Register Experience Preferred.
• Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks.
• Exhibit a professional and polite appearance and demeanor.

Odyssey Fitness is seeking a Child Care Attendant who is responsible for providing safe, clean and fun babysitting services for member's children while they are using the club. The associate interacts positively and professionally with both children and parents while monitoring safety at all times.

Required Skills

Odyssey Fitness requires a passionate, positive, focused and driven Child Care Attendant.

Candidates must have:

- H.S. Diploma or GED preferred or be minimum of 18 years of age and a current H.S. student in good standing with proper work permit documents.
- Six (6) months experience babysitting.
- CPR required.
- Must pass background check by state and federal authorities.
- Knowledge of basic babysitting practices and techniques.
- Ability to create a fun, interactive and secure environment for children.
- Ability to communicate effectively nonverbally; providing appropriate eye contact, smiles and body language, and verbally when giving and taking information over the phone and in person to both children AND parents.
- Ability to courteously and firmly interact with children AND parents to maintain safety and health standards.
- Ability to remain flexible in order to adapt to changing work environments.
- Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks.
- Exhibit a professional and polite appearance and demeanor.
