Padel Plant, Richmond’s newest destination for padel, pickleball, fitness, and community, is hiring highly skilled hospitality professionals to join our growing team. Our on-site restaurant, Smokestack Pizza, features Italian-inspired Neapolitan-style pizzas and house-made focaccia sandwiches that have quickly become a favorite among members and food lovers alike.

We are looking for full-time, experienced service industry professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and can excel across multiple roles: front desk host, barista, food runner, and bartender. If you take pride in exceptional customer experience, love the energy of working with an active community, and can seamlessly multitask across departments, we want to meet you.

What You’ll Do

Greet members and guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.

Act as an ambassador for Padel Plant—educate newcomers, encourage first-time players, and support the growth of the local padel and pickleball community.

Signing up new players on our online platforms as well as checking in current members and selling racquet sport equipment and rentals.

Prepare high-quality espresso drinks from our classic and seasonal menus.

Serving lunch, dinner, snacks, as well as breakfast sandwiches and pastries.

Serving a full bar menu including house cocktails, classic cocktails, draft beer, wine, and packaged products.

Assist with counter food service for Smokestack Pizza, including takeout, dine-in, and delivery order coordination.

Support private events, catered functions, and special member activities.

Maintain a clean, organized, and member-friendly environment throughout the facility.

Multitask across roles as needed—front desk, café, and bar—while staying calm, efficient, and guest-focused.

What We’re Looking For

Strong hospitality background with proven experience in barista, bartending, or front-of-house roles (multi-role experience is a major plus).

Candidates with open availability will be given higher priority as we would prefer to hire and train full time people. We have early morning barista shifts 7:30am - 2:30 pm, as well as later bartending shifts 5pm-10pm, and other shifts in between. CANDIDATES MUST BE AVAILABLE ON WEEKENDS TO BE CONSIDERED.

Ability to multitask at a high level while keeping customer service as the top priority.

Friendly, outgoing personality with the ability to connect authentically with members, newcomers, families, and foodies.

Reliability, professionalism, and a desire to help build a positive, consistent culture.

Interest in racquet sports, fitness, or the Richmond food scene is a bonus—but not required.
