Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and personable Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. This role is vital in creating a positive first impression of our practice. This position offers an engaging environment where attention to detail, professionalism, are highly valued.
Duties
- Greet visitors and clients warmly, providing outstanding customer service at all times
- Check-in/check-out all patients by obtaining accurate and up-to-date demographic and insurance information at each patient visit.
- Answer telephone promptly and in a polite and professional manner, redirecting calls if needed.
- Collect copayments/deductibles from all patients; collect payments on past due bills, assist patients with questions regarding bills and escalate those issues to appropriate parties.
- Assist with insurance verification of new patients and established patients with new insurance.
- Schedule appointments and make reminder appointment calls.
- Remain familiar with insurances that are in/out of network, need a referral, have other special circumstances.
- Maintain an accurate cash box, including end-of-day balancing.
- Always keep the waiting area clean and neat, restocking sample bowl, coffee station and patient snacks throughout the day as needed.
- Must exercise the utmost diplomacy and tact to provide excellent customer service for patients.
- Maintain knowledge of current retail offerings, including products, specials, cosmetic services offered, manufacturer discounts and programs, etc.
- Practice confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance with the practice policies and HIPAA requirements.
- Adhere to all practice policies on safety and security.
- Performs all duties and services in full compliance with Derma Core Values.
Experience
- Prior office experience in a medical or dermatology specific practice preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer support experience
- Previous experience with electronic medical records and Modernizing Medicine (EMA) specifically a bonus

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
