We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Front Desk / Bookkeeper to join our team! Duties
- Greet visitors, clients, and vendors professionally, providing exceptional customer service at the front desk
- Manage incoming calls, direct inquiries efficiently, and handle general administrative tasks with enthusiasm
- Maintain a clean, organized reception area to promote a welcoming environment
- Perform bookkeeping tasks including data entry, account reconciliation, and journal entries using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken
- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes accurately, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Reconcile bank statements, balance sheets, and general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting, financial analysis, and account analysis to support organizational decision-making
- Conduct payroll processing and manage tax-related documentation with precision
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and maintain detailed records for audits or reviews
- Assist with governmental reporting requirements and maintain accurate account reconciliation records
Experience
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within public or non-profit accounting environments
- Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting
- Familiarity with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable management, and payroll processing
- Understanding of GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices is highly desirable
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently under pressure
- Prior experience in customer service or front desk operations is a plus but not required

Pay: $28,000.00 - $36,000.00 per year
