Front Desk Graphic Designer / Customer Service – Sign Shop

We are a locally owned sign company in Clarksville looking for a reliable team member to help manage the front counter, assist customers, and create professional sign layouts.

This position combines graphic design, customer service, and order coordination. You will work directly with customers to develop sign layouts, provide pricing, and move projects from order to production.

This is a production-focused design role. Designs must look professional, be highly readable, and be prepared correctly for large-format printing and vinyl production.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist walk-in customers and answer phones
• Discuss customer needs and recommend appropriate signage
• Create professional sign layouts while working with customers
• Prepare proofs and revise artwork as needed
• Provide pricing and write up orders
• Process payments and deposits
• Organize job files and production notes

Design Work Includes

• Banners and large format signs
• Aluminum and panel signs
• Window lettering and storefront graphics
• Vehicle lettering and graphics
• Channel letters and lighted cabinet signs
• Layouts that require strong typography, contrast, and readability

Designs must be both visually effective and efficient to produce.

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or Flexisign (required)
• Good typography and layout skills
• Ability to create (and recreate) clean, professional designs quickly
• Friendly and comfortable working directly with customers
• Organized and able to handle multiple projects

Preferred (but not required)

• Experience in a sign shop, print shop, or production design environment
• Understanding of preparing files for production

Compensation

• $20–$25 per hour depending on experience

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
