The role
As a front desk team member, you're the heartbeat of the patient experience — from the first phone call to checkout. You'll manage scheduling, handle billing and insurance, and keep the front office running with warmth and professionalism. The right candidate is organized and detail-oriented, but also genuinely enjoys connecting with patients and making them feel at ease.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Greet patients in person and by phone with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments in Eaglesoft
- Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
- Accurately enter and maintain patient information and treatment records
- Submit and follow up on insurance claims; post payments and adjustments
- Present treatment plans and patient financial responsibility clearly and compassionately
- Collect co-pays, process payments, and maintain accurate daily reconciliation
- Coordinate with clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow
- Respond to patient questions about billing, insurance, and account balances
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area
What we're looking for
- Prior experience in a dental or medical front office setting
- Working knowledge of dental insurance (PPO plans, fee schedules, EOBs, CDT codes)
- Hands-on experience with Eaglesoft practice management software strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills — warm and clear with patients, efficient with the team
- High attention to detail and accuracy, especially with financial transactions
- Ability to multitask and stay composed in a busy office environment
- Positive, team-first attitude and a genuine enjoyment of helping people
