About the Role
We are a busy vocational training school dedicated to preparing future home health professionals in New York. We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented bilingual Office Assistant to join our team. This is a structured, full-time administrative position assisting with student enrollment, documentation, daily office operations, and bilingual program support for our diverse student body.
The ideal candidate is reliable, professional, and comfortable working with detailed processes in a fast-paced office environment.
Qualifications
- Must be able to speak, read, and write fluently in English and French in a professional setting. Fulani is a plus
- High School Diploma or GED
- Comfortable working daily with PDF digital documents and fillable forms
- Strong computer skills. Familiar with office equipment
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Prior front desk or administrative experience preferred
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with students,
- administrative staff, and instructors
- Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy
- Must be dependable and able to maintain consistent attendance
- Must be able to follow established office procedures and workflows
- Must be comfortable working in a structured office environment

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for student inquiries
- Process registrations and payments
- Create and maintain organized electronic student files
- Track student progress, complete ledgers, and maintain accurate records
- Manage documentation and scanning/uploads
- Answer and return calls professionally
- Support instructors with orientation, class materials, and grading exams
- Perform additional administrative duties as needed
- Provide occasional backup support to help maintain classroom organization and cleanliness when designated staff are unavailable (separate compensation provided)
Schedule & Compensation
- Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Full-Time, In-Person)
- During evening class sessions (typically 2–3 week blocks), hours may shift later (for example: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM) to support daytime and evening operations
- Compensation for this position is set at $18.00 per hour
