Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Front Desk Patient Coordinator to join our vibrant Med Spa and Wellness Practice. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks that keep our clinic running smoothly. Duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth check-in process
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes accurately
- Collect and process payments, including medical collections when applicable, utilizing billing software
- Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality and data security
- Assist with intake procedures, including updating patient information, reviewing documentation, and explaining clinic services
- Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and managing appointment inquiries
- Support medical administrative functions such as filing, data entry, and documentation review to ensure accuracy in patient files
- Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth clinic operations, including medical scheduling and care plan coordination
- Use computer skills to navigate various EMR systems
- Maintain cleanliness of office and inventory
- Being knowledgeable and explaining services to patients and treatment plans

Experience
- Prior experience in a medical office setting or healthcare environment is highly preferred, especially within clinics or dental offices
- Bonus: Medical assistance experience is a plus
- Bonus: Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems
- Preferred: Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Proven clerical skills including filing, multi-line phone operation, typing accuracy, and use of Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Plus if you have knowledge of HIPAA regulations and health information management standards is essential. If not, we can offer training.

Pay: $25.48 - $35.68 per hour
