Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary information
- Maintain patient records and update information in Prompt EMR and physical files.
- Assist with billing and payment processing
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Provide administrative support to the physical therapy staff
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a front desk agent or receptionist in a medical office a plus, but will train the right candidate
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
As a front desk receptionist at our physical therapy practice, your responsibilities include scheduling appointments, conducting insurance verifications, communicating with our Billing Dept., maintaining patient charts, and answering phones. This is a part-time position with a focus on providing excellent customer service and efficient administrative support.
In addition to managing appointments and insurance verification, you’ll play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for patients. Your responsibilities will extend to greeting and assisting visitors, handling billing inquiries, and ensuring accurate and organized filing systems for patient records. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in maintaining confidentiality are essential for success in this part-time front desk role at our physical therapy practice.
