Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our busy ophthalmology practice. This key position is the first point of contact for our patients and plays a vital role in creating a positive experience. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced medical office environment with grace and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Check patients in and out, verify insurance, and collect co-pays and balances
- Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments,
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all required paperwork is completed
- Communicate effectively with providers, technicians, and billing staff
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence (fax, email, mail)
- Assist with prior authorizations and referrals as needed
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1–2 years of front office experience in a medical setting preferred (ophthalmology or optometry experience a plus)
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) and scheduling software
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized
- Professional appearance and demeanor
